About the Gamagori triathlon
The Gamagori Orange Triathlon will be held for the 35th time this year and it is one of the oldest triathlon races in Japan.
Since 1995, international competitions such as the World Cup, Asian Championships, and Asian Cup have been held, and elite races and age group races are fused, making it a competition that age group athletes can participate in and enjoy watching.
The competition held at the Gamagori boat-racing stadium in 1995, style was spectator sit the stadium seat and watch swim, bike and run became the model for the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
Currently, the venue has been moved to the Civic hall, but it is a course where you can enjoy a triathlon against the backdrop of Takeshima, one of Gamagori's famous sights.
The swim course is calm and safe and the water temperature is around 25°C (2022 water temperature: 23°C, air temperature 29°C)
Bike and run are flat courses.
There are three distances, standard, sprint, and super sprint, and everyone from junior high school students to those over 80 can enjoy this event.
