About the AGE GROUP ENTRY
This entry plan is for foreign nationals and overseas residents.
One-day registration with the Japan Triathlon is required. Please pay an additional fee 1000JPY at your registration.
*Entry of all category is first-come, first served.
Standard distance
Category : Age Group Standard distance

Entry fee : 23,000 JPY, 20,000 JPY for Women
Eligible age : 18 and over as of 31 December 2023
Commendation :
- 1st to 6th place overall for men and women (*Not eligible for age-specific awards)
- 1st to 3rd place of Men and Women from every 5-year age group for Age 18 and older
Time limit :
- Swim : 30 minutes from each wave start, second lap / 60 minutes from each wave start
- Bike : 3 hours from the start of each wave *All waves must pass the Gamagori Ryokuchi Park Grand Minami intersection by 11:30
- Finish : 4 hours from the start of each wave
Sprint distance
Category : Age Group Sprint distance

Entry fee : 18,000 JPY
Eligible age : 15 and over as of 31 December 2023.
*Junior high school students are not allowed.
Commendation : 20 years old or older, under 20 years old 1st place male and female
Time limit :
- Swim : 30 minutes from start
- Bike : 2 hours from the start
- Finish : 2 hours from the start
Super Sprint distance
Category : Age Group Super Sprint distance

Entry fee : 13,000 JPY
Eligible age :12 and over as of 31 December 2023.
*Elementary school students are not allowed.
Commendation : 20 years old or older, under 20 years old 1st place male and female
Time limit :
- Swim : 15 minutes from start
- Bike : 1 hours from the start
- Finish : 1 hours 40 minutes from the start
Age Paratriathlon
Category : Age Paratriathlon
# of max entry : 20
Entry fee : 18,000 JPY
Eligible age : 18 and over as of 31 December 2023.
Those who fall under Age paratriathlon participation category of TRI2-TRI. (Age paratriathlon will be carried out the old category of TRI1-6.)
Commendation : 1st-3rd place men and women in each category
Time limit :
- Swim : 30 minutes from start
- Bike : 2 hours from the start
- Finish : 2 hours from the start

Competition environment
The swim course is calm and safe.
The water temperature is around 25°C (2022 water temperature: 23°C, air temperature 29°C)
Bike and run are flat courses.
Included in entry fee
Equipment designated for the competition (race numbers, etc.), beverages during the competition, event accident insurance, etc. (lunch is not provided)
Participation souvenirs is not included entry fee. If you want it , additional payment of 2000 yen is required for the entry fee. Please select "entry comes with souvenir"

Registration will take measures to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infection at the reception and the competition in general.

Athletes briefing is primarily conducted online but it will be held on 24th, Sat June at Gamagori Civic Hall in English for Overseas athletes.

We recommend using a wetsuit (for triathlon) and a cycle meter. The bicycle is based on a road bike of the competition rule.

For safety reasons, the use of small cameras, mobile phones, and music players is prohibited. Please wear a hard helmet for cycling.

For Age Paratriathlon
The classification of Age paratriathlon shall be established based on physical disabilities. Please check below for more information.
TRI 2 - Severe leg impairment, including above knee amputees.
TRI 3 - Les Autres
TRI 4 - Arm impairment
TRI 5 - Moderate leg impairment -
This event is eligible for "Standard" and "Sprint" points in the 2023 JTU Triathlon Age Group National Championship Series. But Athletes participating from overseas are not eligible for points.

Entry fee refund
If the race is canceled due to the influence of the new coronavirus infection, the amount will be refunded after deducting the execution expenses up to the time of cancellation.
Entry fee will not be refunded for any personal reasons. However, cancellations made before 23:59 on 31 May (Japan time) can be refunded. But the following cancellation charges will be deducted from the entry fee, 30% until April 30 and 50% from May 1 to 31. Please contact us by email. Refunds will be made by bank transfer around August.
In addition, no refund of entry fee even if the race is cancelled because of earthquake, wind/flood damage, incidents, accidents, epidemics, etc.The handling fee will not be refunded in any case. -
Organizers recognize the importance of personal information, and will adhere to the Personal Information Protection Act and related laws and regulations in handling personal information. Provided personal information will only be used for event-related communication and for roster of the competition. Also, you may be contacted for verification regarding application content from the organizers or subcontractors. In addition, the event organizers may, if requested to provide information by governmental organizations, etc., do so to third parties, etc., without the agreement of the relevant persons for alternate purposes.

About videos and photos taken at the race
Race staff or various media representatives will be taking photos during the race. Please note that images and photos taken at the race may be used on websites, posters, promotional materials and information media created by the organizer. In addition, it may be posted, aired, or distributed on websites, newspapers, magazines, and other media approved by the organizer. -
Transfer of eligibility
Substitution or transfer of rights is not permitted. You will be disqualified if such acts are found. In such case, there will be no compensation or refund from the organizers.

The event is covered by official insurance by JTU.

Guarantee for injuries during the competition is only within the scope of the forementioned policy. Also there is no coverage of equipment or supplies. Please check the following insurance contents and purchase insurance policy individually in case it is insufficient.
COVID-19 PROTOCOL & SAFETY MEASURES(As of 22 February, 2023)
(1)Health behavior check of participants (*required)
Participants are required to participate in the event on the premise that they are "in good health" by undergoing health check ups for 7 days prior to their visit and by confirming that they are behaving in a manner that avoids the risk of infection (behavior management).
In the event that a fever or suspected contact with a person with a fever is detected within 3 days of the planned date of visit (with the planned date of visit as day 0), the participant will, as a rule, be asked to refrain from participating in the event.
(2)Safety measures for organizing the event
We recommend that all participants, staff members, and related personnel receive four doses of the novel coronavirus vaccine.
Participants will be asked to take their temperature at the registration desk on the day of the event. If your body temperature is higher than the temperature specified by the organizers (37.5°C), you will be asked to withdraw from participation.
